Bring a Change in Society by Yourself...

A thought comes up in the mind when I think about the current state of the society. The society today is filled with evils which are eating up the society. Evils like rapes, dowry, gender discrimination, caste discrimination are the ones which are living a monopoly in the society. In such a situation, the society needs its individuals; those individuals who understand what is correct and what is not.

I believe the youth of the society are the ones who truly has the potential to bring about a change in the society. It cannot be ignored that whatever is the plight of society today, it is because of us individuals. We alone are responsible for its degrading state. Elders are not respected, they are sent to old age homes, people are exploited based on their caste, a wide gap has developed between the rich and the poor.

All this is a result of economic inequality and unequal distribution of power within the society. Corruption is one of the reasons that has led to this state and environment in the society. Hence, it is time that every individual contributes his part to the welfare of the society.

Change has to start from our own homes. We need to stop being biased to people based on their caste. Every person has equal right to live a healthy and a successful life. We need to respect the feelings and preferences of every person. Start right away. Stop falling down in the hands of corruption. Start today itself by respecting a being kind and humble to the servant or the maid in the house.

After all, they are also human beings. They have equal right to live and have their opinion in life. They should be given equal opportunity to contribute in the society. The day all this becomes a reality, that day we will truly become a responsible individual in the society. Only when we implement it on our own selves, then we have the right to make an attempt to help others understand the same. We definitely cannot change anyone. We can let them know what is right and what is wrong.
